Without a doubt, my absolute favourite brand of clothing is Lindy Bop (as you probably already know!) There are lots of other beautiful brand out there that make stunning clothes, but if I want affordability, reliability and quality I will ALWAYS head straight to Lindy Bop.
At my last count I think I had about 12 LindyBop dresses (give or take a few), but there are three that are pretty much constantly out of the wardrobe. For today’s post, I thought I’d introduce you to my top 3, absolutely favourite, everyday Lindy Bop outfits. So, in no particular order….
“Lana” Dark Blue Floral Swing Dress
My Lana dark blue dress is probably the one I am most likely to reach for on an average day. The beautiful floral pattern means I always feel pretty and feminine, but the muted colours mean I don’t feel it’s over the top for an every day situation.
Although I will happily wear this dress all year round, the blues, reds and golds make me feel it’s best suited for Autumn, with falling leaves rather than the bluebells in the pictures.
I love the scoop neckline as this is so flattering for ladies with larger busts (like me!) The dress also originally came with a wide belt, which really helped to cinch in the waistline, but I seem to have temporarily misplaced that. I either need to find it or buy a replacement as it really does finish off the look.
‘Carmela’ Black Music Notes Print Swing Dress
The newest of the three featured dresses, as soon as I saw this one on the Lindy Bop website, I knew I had to own it. The music notes are so appropriate to my personality and the fact that I bought this smack in the middle of Oklahoma rehearsals just seemed so right!
This dress is so insanely comfortable and lightweight – it’s the perfect summer dress. It has some definite plus points including the low neckline and, newsflash, it has POCKETS! I have decided the every dress should have pockets. They really are a brilliant future.
The only criticism I have of this dress is the sides are cut a bit low. No matter which bra I choose to wear, it always shows over the sides of the dress and that’s really not ideal. Not wearing a bra is just never going to be an option, so I wish they had taken that into consideration.
“Audrey” Red Polka Dot Swing Dress
Last but certainly not least is the first Lindy Bop dress I ever owned, my original and fabourite red polka dot Audrey dress. I bought this initially to wear in one of my burlesque shows and it’s still a firm favourite with me.
Although it has a higher neckline, which is not my preferred choice, it is still really flattering. Depending on the occasion, I do occasionally wear it with a white petticoat to help give the skirt a little more volume. When I team this with my white bolero and pearls, I feel like the ultimate vintage lady.
I’ve owned this dress for almost 4 years now, so it is starting to look a little faded and worn but it’s still in pretty good shape. I’ve also bought a matching dress in miniature for Miss Mess, who loves that we can go out in co-ordinating outfits. It may be twee, but it’s also really cute.
So far, I’ve not had a single Lindy Bop dress that I haven’t loved but these are by far my most worn. However, that title could soon be passed over to new dresses as I’ve just made the mistake of checking out their New In section and now I can’t wait for my birthday.
But that’s another blog post…

Sorry! I can really recommend them. They do have quite regular sales and you can pick up some absolute bargains. I got a few dresses for £9 each!
I love all of them but think the cut of the Carmella one is just perfect! I love the music notes too!
I always look on there as I think they do some beautiful dresses and always think I’ll buy one for an occasion but the occasion hasn’t yet arisen. Maybe its time to just buy one for everyday wear! xxx
I love the red polka dot one! The shape of these is so nice and the style suits you so well! I’ve never owned anything from Lindy Bop but they sound great,

Ah Lindy Bop, I absolutely love their dresses! I own a turqoise floral Ophelia dress of theirs and I absolutely love it, the material is so thick and such good quality, and they’re very well made, for such a reasonable price, what more could you ask for? All of your dresses suit you down to a T, especially the Carmela, it’s such a cute print!

These dresses all look amazing on you! I really love the Lana dress, such gorgeous colours. I love looking at dresses like these, but it’s not a style that suits me unfortunately.

I’m much more of a casual dresser myself but my god, these dresses are gorgeous! And I second that all dresses should have pockets, and none of those pretend fake pockets (they literally have no use at all!). You are beautiful in these dresses too 🙂
