My latest obsession : Disney Bloggers

May 25, 2016

I think my first introduction into the world of blogging was watching Kandee Johnson makeup videos on Youtube.  This led to me watching more and more beauty vloggers, before eventually finding my way to their blogs.

From there I discovered tons of other blogs to read – beauty, fashion, organisational and homemaking blogs, parenting blogs.  I loved all of them and would spend hours trawling through the archives of my latest favourite.

Once I began writing my own blog, I discovered lifestyle bloggers, which really seemed to be the niche I best fitted into.  Then there were the book bloggers who tended to be nerd girls (like me) and shared a love of Harry Potter and fantasy. Cue multiple pictures of books, socks and cups of tea.  I’m generalising, but you know the kind I’m referring to.

Then, by chance, the other day I stumbled upon a whole new niche of blogger and I really think I might be in love.  I’m taking about Disney Bloggers.

Now, I’ve always thought I had a slightly unhealthy obsession with all things Disney, but these people make me look positively indifferent.

They write about the parks, the films, their favourite characters, their favourite songs.  They wear Disney clothes and collect Disney memorabilia.  I love it!  I’m pretty sure this is my new favourite niche.

I’m a firm believer you should write what you love, and Disney has always been one of the consistent passions of my life for as long as I can remember.  It’s only gotten better since I have kids as I have a genuine excuse (as if I need one) to continue my obsession and pass it on to the next generation.  Moogle has been a Disney fanatic for most of the 6 years and even Bug now knows all of Princesses by name.  Which gives me a great sense of pride and achievement.  I’m doing this parenting right!!

I’ve only just really started exploring this new corner of the blogosphere but I wanted to share some of the blogs who’ve already caught my eye:

Once Upon a Blog – Jamie is probably responsible for introducing me to Disney bloggers in the first place and should therefore be blamed for all future Disney ravings that appear on this blog.

Outside the Tower

Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo

Hollywood and Lime

I know there are many more out there, but I’m just getting to know everyone.  If you have a Disney blog or like to occasionally blog about your love of all things Disney, please leave me a link in the comments below and I’ll be sure to pop over and say Hello!

I’m not saying A Mess In A Dress will become a sole Disney blog, but I get the feeling you might see a few more Disney-themed posts in the near future!

Hooray! I’m glad you liked it! You can never have too much Disney in your life. Keep up the good work.
