Ok, so it may be the biggest cliche in the blogging world but where has January gone? It seems like I blinked and missed it! I’m sure it was New Year’s Eve yesterday!
In an effort to prove that the last month actually did take place – here is a rundown of what happened in January:
- I did an excellent impression of a mature, responsible adult by acting as nurse to my sick cat, getting the heating fixed and the car MOT’d and insured. Well done me!
- I rediscovered my love of romances novels and frittered away far too much time with my nose stuck in a book. Well, you’ve got to have a little me time!
- The news reported a frankly ridiculous number of celebrity deaths, including Bowie, Alan Rickman and, right at the last minute – Terry Wogan! This has sparked concerns that the apocalypse is upon us and there will be nobody left by December
- Absolutely horrible weather with constant rain and freezing temperatures. And to top it all off, we ended the month with high winds courtesy of Storm Gertrude or Grizelda – or some other stupid name! Why do we name storms??
Wow – that really was a dull month. It’s been hectic but there really wasn’t much to write home about. Which is awkward for a blogger who really needs something to write about?
I can only hope that January has just been about getting to grips with the new year, and revving ourselves up to have a much more productive (and interesting) February. I’m off now to set some goals for February, which I will be sure to share with you as soon as I have figured out what they are.
Signing off for now,
