Life Update

Stop the world – I want to get off.  That pretty much sums up my entire outlook on life at the moment.  Everything is so busy and hectic and I feel like I’m chasing my tail most of the time.

Oh, and I have a confession to make.  I’ve been cheating on you.  Let me explain…

So, my little sister (the middle one, not the baby) has just bought herself a hair salon.  She is now the proud owner of her own business and at the ripe old age of 25 is already more successful than me as I hurtle towards 30.

Yes, I know that success is measured in different ways and friends and family have very kindly pointed out that I have two beautiful little children.  But as I told them, any old monkey can produce offspring and being a university drop out with one failed marriage under my belt doesn’t exactly scream success!

But anyway, back to my sister.  The whole family banded together over the weekend to transform the salon to match Kim’s dreams.  It was hard work and involved long hours, paint fume exposure, a trip to Ikea and numerous cookies but it was well worth it to see Kim’s face when she saw the end result.

My share of the workload also involved creating the new business website and social media pages.  So, between painting walls, building websites, work, school, housework, child-raising and sleeping, there just hasn’t been time for anything else.

Today marked the last day of the school term for Moogle, but I still have a couple of weeks of admin work to do before I can finally rest.  However, I’m hoping that things will start to calm down a bit now and I will finally be able to do some catching up and still have time for fun things.  Here’s hoping.
