I’d already heard great reviews of the Beauty Temple Salon in Nottingham from some of my blogging friends, so I was incredibly excited to receive an initiation to a bloggers’ event to celebrate the launch of their new salon in Mapperley.
Straight after work, I travelled into Nottingham and met up with Sarah and Ellie (two of my usual blogging pals) and we made our way to Mapperley to the salon. Luckily Sarah’s husband works very near the salon, so she knew exactly where she was going and could act as our guide.
At the salon, we were greeted with a smile and a Glitterbomb cocktail, my favourite kind of greeting. Before the event we had been asked to select a treatment and on arrival we were told our treatment time and then given the opportunity to have a look around the salon.
On first impression, I absolutely loved the décor of the Beauty Temple. It had a luxurious feel and with its bold colours and rose gold accessories it was definitely very Instagram friendly. I could easily imagine getting comfy here with a glass of bubbly while being pampered.
While waiting for our treatments, we were offered a selection of delicious canapés including these adorable mini cupcakes. I really liked the look of the Champagne bar menu which is definitely a unique selling point for this particular salon.
For my treatment I chose a classic file and polish – pretty nails are my must have accessory! The Beauty Temple use CND’s Vinylux Weekly polish and I chose these fabulous pinky-purple shade called Magenta Mischief. I was really pleased with the finished result. My nails looked glossy and glamouous – just in time for my birthday celebrations!
After my file and polish, I was also offered the chance to try out their fabulous glitter makeup. I left the design completely in the stylist’s hands and was very happy with the results. The mixture of silver, gold and bluey-green glitter left me with real mermaid-vibes. I bet this would be a real hit for festivals and nights out.
After that we enjoyed hanging around, exploring the salon, chatting about the various treatments and packages on offer. The glittery fake-tanning room was a huge hit with all of us bloggers and a great place for selfies (if, unlike me, you could get the lighting right.)
Another incredibly cute feature was the pamper and play corner, designed to keep kiddies entertained while their hard-working mums have a bit of me-time. As a mummy of two little girls who love a bit of pampering I’m sure they’d be thrilled if I took them for a trip to the Beauty Temple, and it’s nice to know there’d be something to keep them entertained while I had some much-needed Mummy time.
I really enjoyed having a read through the treatment “menu”, which features some packages I’ve never really heard of before. I especially liked the sound of their Bottomless Prosecco Blow-dry or even their “Ultimate Blow Out” package, which includes hair, make-up and nails to get you all ready for a big event.
Massive thanks go to all the lovely ladies at the Beauty Temple Mapperley for inviting me along to this fabulous event and for being such gracious and accommodating hosts. I came away feeling pampered and refreshed and cam hoping to get booked in for something a little special soon.
