June?? It’s actually June! Sorry to be the bearer of MASSIVE cliches, but where in the heck is 2017 going? I have a million other things I’d planned to do tonight, but I thought I should probably get this May round-up post written quickly, before we hit August!
May was a bit of an up-and-down month wasn’t it? (there’s an understatement for you.) It started off with a Bank Holiday sickness bug which was just about perfect. Me and both girls spent the whole day off curled up on the sofa watching Moana (which incidentally is a fabulous film and I have no idea why I put off watching it for so long!)
It kinda feels like May wasn’t that busy, so I’m not really sure why it sailed by but looking through my diary I can’t really tell what I’ve been doing with my time. I’ve done a few essential Mummy duties, such as taking Miss Mess to her dance exam and making her (possibly last ever) CBeebies card!
At the start of May I thought this was going to be an absolutely amazing month on the blog. I went to two blogging events, one with LUSH (#goals) and one with Hot Pod Yoga which were both AMAZING and made me feel like a “proper” blogger again.
From the first couple of weeks, I thought my May stats were going to be stellar again. Sadly, due to the unfortunate events of the last couple of weeks and a serious slump, my views nose-dived. I haven’t been able to get back into the swing yet which is really frustrating!
Still, it’s at times like these when I have to go back to basics and remember that I enjoyed writing this blog when no-one but my Nanna and my best friend were reading it. I’ve just got to write what I love and the rest will come.
My favourite posts in May were:
June is definitely busting out all over and it is going to be a busy, busy month. I’m performing in a concert, have two theatre trips (yay!), have the girls’ next show (with Mini Mess’s stage debut) and it’s my dad and Miss Mess’s birthday (I really need to get working on that!) I just know I’m going to be writing my June round-up much sooner than I think, but at least I’ll have PLENTY to write about.
