I have reached the conclusion that you can tell a lot about a person based on the items on their Amazon wish list. Think about it – when given the option to select pretty much anything you can find on the internet it is very interesting to see what a person might choose. It tells you about their hobbies, interests, personality – maybe even a little about their priorities.
To that end, I thought I would let you get to know me a little better by sharing with you some of the items you might find on my Amazon Wish list.
Funko Pop Figures. I think it’s fair to say that I am pretty easily manipulated where consumerism is involved, especially if it comes to cute, pop-culture merchandise, particularly if the theme is Disney. So it should come to no surprise to the people who know me that I absolutely love these little figures and I WANT THEM ALL! I currently have the Groot one at home but I have put a huge selection of them on my wishlist, from Disney characters to superheros, in the hope that someone might buy me the odd one now again. They come in at under a tenner, so they’d make great stocking fillers or little treats because I’m lovely and deserve it! Ha! Wink, wink! (P.S – My current fave is the Jessica Rabbit one – she’s my icon. I did really want the She-ra one, but she’s £300, so I’ll have to wait a while!)
The O.C DVD boxset Who doesn’t love a good boxset? There’s nothing I love better than sitting down to binge-watch a good TV series. I borrowed The O.C from a friend back in 2010 when I was overdue a baby, signed off work with high blood pressure and going stir crazy. I loved the series, particularly Seth and Summer and I’m definitely due a re-watch!
SMASH! DVD Boxset! Another boxset, this time featuring one of my all-time favourite things – Musicals! Yes, I realise this wasn’t the most critically acclaimed series of all time, but it was fun, cheesy and filled with awesome musical numbers. I do think somebody needs to make Bombshell into an actual, real-life musical and get it to the West End stat, so that I can go and watch it. In case you have no idea what I’m referring to, here is a clip:
Monkey Island series for PC. As well as being an avid TV watcher, I am also a life-long gamer. My current favourite series is Dragon Age (although I still haven’t played the most recent one) but I’m pretty sure my love of gaming started way back when, at my dad’s side, playing the original Monkey Island game. You can now buy the complete series and I would love to play them all through again. If I ever have the time!
The Sims 4 I have been addicted to The Sims for as long as I can remember and have played through all of their incarnations. I’ve just recently reinstalled The Sims 3 after a long hiatus and I just love it. In fact I can sometimes get so engrossed that I forget to live my real life, as my virtual one is so much more exciting. I’ve put off buying The Sims 4 as I was afraid I would miss all of my expansion packs and extra downloads. However, it’s been out a few years now and they are starting to get a good selection of additional content so it might be time to make the switch.
Labyrinth ‘Ello t-shirt. I do love me a bit of film memorabilia and there was a time when I bought a new t-shirt, book, collectible or other nick-nack almost every week. Sadly, I can’t afford to do that anymore but I still like to treat myself to the odd piece of merchandise now and again. I’ve had my eye on this adorable t-shirt, featuring one of my fave characters from the film “Labyrinth” for a while now and if I don’t get it for my birthday I will probably be buying it for myself! I can’t resist an eye-catching t-shirt!
All I Know Now by Carrie Hope Fletcher. Ok, so I may have recently developed a rather unhealthy obsession with everything to do with this young lady. (I’m currently working on a post explaining why!) She is wise beyond her years and I would love to read her books to find out what she has to say.
Iphone 5c phone case – Ariel. I never thought of myself as an addictive personality, but it’s certainly starting to look that way. I can’t seem to stop buying new phone cases – I change them almost as often as underwear! (Which is a comment on how many cases I buy – NOT the fact that I change my undies infrequently!). I’ve just recently got (stolen) a new phone from my sister and now I need some new cases. I’ve already bought one, but a girl can never have too many, can she?
I could continue for hours as there are currently 83 items on my wish list, but I think this pretty much covers most of my most pressing desires! I promise to keep you updated if I crack and buy any of these. And at least you all know what to get me for Christmas, eh?
